with any of these fine systems, that estimate becomes a job order in Body
Master with the selection of a single button on the screen. By being able
to integrate with all of the database systems, you are free to use more
than one of them at a time or to change from one to the other if you so
desire without affecting your management system. With Body Master, you
may also do computerized estimating without using the database systems.
You create an estimate by using the data in your Mitchell or Motors books
and entering it into the computer as follows. |
| To begin, just type in the customer
information - when you type in the zip code, the city and state fill in
automatically. Now many shop people say "But I'm not a good typist!" To
minimize typing, two other ways have been provided to |
enter data - lookups and short
hand entries. To use the lookup, just select the radio button, highlight
the desired entry and select it to make the entry. To use the shorthand
entry, just type in an abbreviation and the computer does the rest. |
